Your data, your call
Privacy Policy

What we collect
Bizzy Budget stores the information you enter: your email address, your bills (names, amounts, due dates, payment status), income sources, debts, savings goals and spending categories, goal items, contributions and uploaded goal photos.
If you connect a bank account, we use Plaid to link it. Plaid gives us your account names, balances and transactions so your spending account balance and spending categories stay current. We never see or store your bank login credentials — those stay with Plaid.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account. If you set up Face ID / passkey sign-in, we store only a cryptographic passkey credential — never biometric data. Your Face ID scan never leaves your device.
How we use it
Your information is used only to run Bizzy Budget: organizing your bills into pay weeks, calculating payoff plans, syncing balances and personalizing your dashboard. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it's stored
Your data lives on secured cloud servers operated by our hosting provider, encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you can see your bills and accounts — access is locked to your signed-in account.
Third-party services we use
Bizzy Budget runs on a small number of service providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Plaid — connects your bank. When you link an account, you sign in on Plaid's or your bank's own page; we never see your bank password. Plaid shares your account names, balances, transactions and loan/credit details with us so your budget stays current.
- Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway — powers the optional AI debt plan. It receives only the debt fields listed in "AI features" below, and only after you tap Allow.
- OpenAI via Lovable AI Gateway — suggests optional savings estimates after you allow sharing your goal name, optional target date and number of people. No chat or web search is performed. Opening a research link visits that site's own privacy policy.
- Lovable Cloud — hosts the app and stores your account data (bills, budgets, settings and synced bank data) on secured servers.
- Our email delivery provider — receives your email address to send sign-in links, password resets and account notices.
- Google sign-in — if you choose it, Google confirms your identity and shares your name and email address with us.
- Apple sign-in — if you choose it, Apple confirms your identity and shares your name and email address (or Apple's private relay address if you hide your email).
We don't sell your data to anyone, and none of these providers may use your information for their own advertising.
AI features
AI debt advice is optional. Before sending debt data, we show a consent sheet identifying Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway and the fields shared below. No AI debt-analysis request is sent until you tap Allow. We store your consent and the date and time you granted it with your account.
- Each debt’s name, current balance, annual interest rate (APR), and minimum payment.
- Your payoff goal and extra monthly payment.
- Target payoff duration in months and the calculated extra payment needed, if a target is selected.
- Priority debt names and their preferred order, if selected.
- Each calculated strategy’s label, payoff duration in months, total interest, and payoff order (debt names).
- If supplied: monthly take-home income, one-time lump sum, emergency buffer, and free-form notes. The current debt screen does not supply these optional details.
We do not send your email, sign-in credentials, bank account numbers, bank access tokens, or transaction history. Debt names and any notes are sent as entered, so avoid including personal information in them.
Consent applies to future debt analyses until withdrawn. On the website or in the app, turn off Settings → AI & privacy → Allow AI debt analysis to stop new requests. This does not recall information already sent or stop a request already submitted. You can continue comparing, saving, and following non-AI debt plans without consent.
Goal ideas are separate from debt advice. Your permission is remembered with your account; no request runs automatically. OpenAI via Lovable AI Gateway receives:
- Goal name
- Optional target date
- Number of travelers or people
- Destination, timing, nights, optional trip budget, trip style and included expenses
We do not send balances, transactions, credentials, photos or links. Suggestions require Premium and are limited to ten requests per UTC day. Results are estimates, not live prices, and change your goal only when you tap Add. You can withdraw goal-idea consent on the goal page. Withdrawal cannot recall data already sent. Goals work without AI. Uploaded goal photos are private and removed when you delete your account.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't show third-party ads. We don't share your bills, balances or transactions with anyone except the services listed above that are required to run the app.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual bills, bank connections and devices from within the app. To permanently delete your account on the website or in the app, open Settings → Account → Delete account and type DELETE to confirm. We disconnect your linked banks, delete your bills, payments, plans, savings goals and other account data, and remove your sign-in account. Saved sign-in and Face ID credentials on the device you use are cleared, and you return to the sign-in screen. Deletion cannot be undone and does not close your bank accounts.
If you need help deleting your account, email support@bizzybudget.com for assistance.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active so your budget history is there when you come back. When you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete account), your bills, payments, plans, savings goals, synced bank data and sign-in account are permanently deleted right away, and we ask Plaid to disconnect your banks. Encrypted backups may take a short period to cycle out, after which the data is gone completely.
If you disconnect a bank without deleting your account, we stop syncing it and remove its stored connection; transactions already imported stay in your budget until you delete them or delete your account.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version on this page.
